Facility Emergency Preparedness Pages
We have provided links on this page so employees are able to easily access the updates that are provided to residents’ families. These updates include facility news, general updates and notification of any positive resident or staff cases that have been confirmed by the local health department. Please check your facility page frequently for new updates. We continue to have zero positive cases within our resident populations which is largely thanks to our staff’s dedication to infection control and our utilization of available PPE.

- I am happy when my residents are happy they are very important to me as well as good co workers and great team work ❤❤❤
- I want to thank our administrator and management for being proactive for our safety . It really is appreciated . As the situation is ever changing , in light of hearing of a nursing home in aurora today with a fatality and multiple cases , it really made me think about the ancillary staff that come from the outside that go to other facilities . I wondered if maybe an assessment of non essential hospice visits and non emergent labs was in order . Thank you all for working so hard to keep us all safe!
- Just trying to keep a smile during these days. Cleaned the whole counter and wiped down everything in the mail room, to make sure all is cleaned and disinfected.
- Love the transparency our work has provided with all things Covid to our staff. Great having a leader who can take charge and not show the amount of stress I know she’s got to be dealing with.
- I’m happy so far I feel we are doing more to protect the residents and the staff from covid 19 than most other homes.

CDC Guidance on Masks in Public
CDC continues to study the spread and effects of the novel coronavirus across the United States. We now know from recent studies that a significant portion of individuals with coronavirus lack symptoms (“asymptomatic”) and that even those who eventually develop symptoms (“pre-symptomatic”) can transmit the virus to others before showing symptoms. This means that the virus can spread between people interacting in close proximity—for example, speaking, coughing, or sneezing—even if those people are not exhibiting symptoms. In light of this new evidence, CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. For more information, please click HERE.

Each of you continues to rise to the occasion to serve our residents during this national pandemic. Thank you for your incredible dedication. The State of Ohio’s stay at home order, effective tonight at midnight, has left everyone with questions. As you know, the order does NOT apply to healthcare workers commuting to work- all of our employees, regardless of department, will receive a letter validating this. Please keep this letter and your name badge with you as you commute to work.
Please see the Staff Resources section below for an FAQ that addresses how other aspects of day to day life are or are not affected. For childcare arrangements, the link below of Pandemic Childcare Centers lists daycare centers in our state licensed to continue operations specifically for healthcare workers. This list includes options for up to age 12, along with shift and Title XX availability. Legacy Health Services has secured discount pricing with Brightside Academy for all Legacy employees- these prices and contact information are linked below.

Thank you to all of our staff for all that you are doing to keep our residents safe. This is a trying time for many people, and we appreciate your compassion and dedication now and always. For those of you effected by the recent Ohio school closings, please reach out to your supervisor if you need assistance modifying your schedule. We will work together to ensure you are able to balance your responsibilities at home and at work.
Please note- we have updated the staff screening tool effective 3/14/2020 based on the latest CDC guidance. Please self-screen prior to coming to work, and you will be screened again upon arrival. If the are yes answers to questions in the symptoms section AND yes answers to questions in the exposure section, do NOT enter building and contact DON or Designee immediately. For more information on which areas are considered to have widespread or ongoing community spread, please see the Level 3 CDC Travel Advisory Listing.
We have created an Educational Corner for our staff so everyone keeps infection control polices and procedures top of mind. Please check back often for updates, and be sure to participate in the OnShift surveys- lots of great incentives available the more points you earn!

We need your help to protect our residents! Remember, wash your hands and cover your cough. The best way to protect yourself and our residents is to follow good personal health habits to prevent the spread of illness. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol (which is available throughout the facility). Always wash your hands with soap and water if your hands are visibly dirty.
